Honouring our legacy: events and commemorations

Join the British Commonwealth Occupation Force Association as we gather to remember, celebrate, and connect. From solemn ceremonies to joyful family gatherings, our events are designed to foster mateship, honour memories, and create new moments of fun.

Annual ceremonies: Anzac Day and Remembrance Day

We proudly participate in and organise commemorations for significant national days such as Anzac Day and Remembrance Day. These ceremonies are vital opportunities for veterans' families, the general public, and schools to come together, reflect on the sacrifices made, and pay tribute to those who served in the British Commonwealth Occupation Force. We aim to ensure that the stories of "The Forgotten Force" are never lost and their memory never forgotten.                        LEST WE FORGET .

For Details on all Anzac Day services in your state contact you state Association as listed on this site.

BCOF anniversaries: remembering their unique service

Beyond national commemorations, we host special anniversaries dedicated to the British Commonwealth Occupation Force. These events specifically honour the unique challenges and contributions of the Australian Contingent from 1946 to 1948. They provide a platform for remembering their enduring spirit through earthquakes, typhoons, disease, and conflict, ensuring their service is recognised and celebrated. These include the Arrival and departure and the end of BCOF .

Family picnics: fostering mateship and connection

Our "get to know you" family picnics are more casual gatherings designed to strengthen the bonds of mateship within our community. These events are perfect for veterans' families and the general public to connect, share stories, and enjoy a day of fun. We believe that fostering strong connections is key to preserving the legacy and spirit of the British Commonwealth Occupation Force.

Experience mateship, memory, and fun
